We are Elkins Elementary, home of the Elks.
 
Located near WJ Boaz Road, our school serves a culturally rich and diverse community where every student is celebrated and supported. We are proud to create a safe, inclusive environment where strong relationships, meaningful learning, and perseverance are at the heart of our success.

Campus highlights include:
 
  • Engaging academic opportunities such as UIL Academics, paired with weekly specials including Art, Music, PE, Library, and Computer Lab
  • Enrichment through student clubs, organizations, and leadership opportunities
  • Regular campus communication, including Grade Level News and school-wide academic updates
  • Strong family partnerships supported by an active PTA and volunteer involvement

Our History

Elkins Elementary opened in 1988 and is one of the original five elementary schools in EMS ISD. Named after longtime EMS ISD Board Member and youth agricultural supporters T.J. and Nora Elkins, Elkins Elementary has proudly served generations of families and continues to grow students academically and socially in a nurturing and forward-thinking environment.

The Community We Serve

We serve students and families in neighborhoods near WJ Boaz Road and surrounding areas. Elkins partners closely with its feeder schools to ensure a smooth and connected experience from elementary through high school.
 
Our feeder campuses include:
  • Creekview Middle School
  • Boswell High School
